San Diego Burial at Sea accepts
ashes for scattering from throughout the United States for
pet ash scattering.
Having a beloved pet
pass is a painful process and
they, like humans, need to be grieved and said good-bye to. We would
be happy to provide an ash scattering service for them.
Pet ash scatterings
may be attended or you may choose to have us respectfully
scatter the ashes in the Pacific Ocean off the San Diego coast
in your absence.
(same procedure as humans)
An increasing number
of people are choosing to have their
pet ashes scattered - it has become the national standard in
caring for a pet which has passed. It
is very inexpensive and a beautiful way to say goodbye in a peaceful
beautiful setting to a trusted friend.
San
Diego Burial at Sea captains are licensed by the
United States Coast Guard, we are commercially insured and licensed
by the state of California as a "Cremated Remains Disposer" (license#751).
Our pet
ash scattering ceremonies are performed from a variety of locations
off the San Diego Coast in the Pacific Ocean. We perform the ash
scattering approximately one mile off the coast.
The exact GPS position of the ceremony as well as
weather conditions are recorded. This information is then used to complete
the pet memorial certificate which
will be sent to the pet's family. Additional services can be provided
as requested.

of the product and we will purchase it for you.
As a general rule of thumb your will receive about 15 cubic inches
of cremains per 20 pounds of animal. Using this rule, a 40 pound dog
will result in 30 cubic inches of cremains.
